That feeling between two people called love is explored in this unusual account about a couple that, by all indications fall madly for each other in no time at all. It is almost impossible to think that lovers such as Sofia and Pedro will see that feeling they experienced fade away in front of our eyes as the story develops.
The narrative plays as though it was meant to be a Romance Comics. The film is divided in different sections in which Pedro and Sofia will experience. In fact, the ending comes as no surprise since we were already told how it will end. The development of this romance surprises in that is feels real, something that could happen to any couple in the same situation. There is a narration illustrating, as well as expanding each of the motifs of the story.
This production is a joint effort. We guess it might have started as a student project that was so fresh, as well as interesting, then expanded into a full length feature. The four directors involved are Alejandro Fadel, Martin Mauregui, Santiago Mitre and Juan Schnitman. Three of the directors, with the exception of Mr. Schnitman, went on to collaborate with Pablo Trapero in his "Carancho". We shall hear again, no doubt, from any of these young directors in another film, individually, or as a team. They seem to compliment each other's work well, as proved with this film.
The success of this production lies in the two principals, the excellent Leonora Balcarce and Luciano Caceres. Ms. Balcarce does amazing work in the film as Sofia. Mr. Caceres is also up to task with the way he focuses on his Pedro.
