This 14 minute short is another excuse to promote the titles in MGM's boxed Ingmar Bergman collection, as the only examples of the work of cinematographer Sven Nykvist shown are from Persona, Shame, The Passion of Anna, and Hour of the Wolf. Granted that the dinner table sequence from Hour of the Wolf is given some analysis in the way Nykvist working as camera operator pans from face to face, without the need for editing cuts. Persona is described as a love poem to two faces in close-up.
This time we don't hear from Bergman, but we get behind the scenes stills of him and Nykvist, as well as interviews with Liv Ullmann, Bibi Andersson, Erland Josephson, and Bergman biographer Marc Gervais.
