This is a thoroughly enjoyable DVD for fans of 70s/80s contemporary music. I am a little too young to remember the show when it was first aired on the BBC but I've found myself gravitating towards the artists of that era.
There is quite a diverse selection of performers on this volume and as usual with this series the standard is very high. Sets, camera work and lighting are pretty basic as the budgets were no doubt tight at the time but I feel this adds to the whole experience as you are almost transported back in time.
DVD EXTRAS: I loved the audio commentary track where the guys discuss the performances, send up the artists and also supply some useful insights and information to settle many pub arguments!
There is also a handy random play facility.
