- Bobby is the guest at the party given for Frances, and George is his rival. George connives so that Bobby is compelled to dance with Aunt Muscena, while he dances with Frances, but Bobby outwits him. George then bets Bobby he cannot disguise himself as Bad Dan Derby and deceive the party into believing he is the real Dan. Bobby dons the disguise as the real Dan appears. The guests are robbed of their jewels by Bobby, who returns them, and they are then taken by the real Dan, from whom Bobby steals them and again returns them. The police arrive and take Bobby for the real culprit, but after much confusion he turns over the real Dan to them.—Motion Picture News, October 31, 1925
- Among the guests at the week-end party are Bobby and George, rivals for the. heart and hand of Frances, their hostess. After cutting in each other's dances with Frances, George gets an idea-and introduces Bobby to Aunt Musclena, who weighs three hundred pounds and whose favorite sport is lion hunting. Bobby is badly battered when he tries to dance with the huge Diana. The party is getting cold. All of the young couples are out on the lawn holding hands. Bobby turns the spotlights of the parked automobiles on them and they are driven back to the house where he is about to stage a Punch and Judy show. Included in Bobby's act are impersonations of famous men. Teddy, Napoleon and a funny wooden soldier do their stunts for the guests. George sees a picture of "Derby Dan" who is wanted for robbery and gets an idea by which he can get rid of Bobby. He tells Bobby he will give him $50.00 if he can impersonate "Derby Dan" and get away with it. Bobby takes him up on it and proceeds to make up like Dan. When he isn't looking, George smears the hatband and mustache with glue and when Bobby puts them on, they stick. He starts his fake hold-up and George phones for the police. When they arrive Bobby is arrested and tries to tell them it is all a joke but they refuse to believe him. At the jail he is thrown in with two yeggs and the three manage to make their escape. They return to the house where the party is still in progress. In the meantime, the real "Derby Dan" has broken in and held up the guests but when he isn't looking, Bobby, still in the impersonation of Dan, steals the jewels from him and returns them to the guests. They are nonplussed, not knowing what it is all about, but just then the police arrive and the mystery is cleared up and the real thief arrested.—Press Sheet from Library of Congress
