After locking lips at the end of the pilot, Andrew and Zelda must now deal with a morning after of sorts as Episode 2 (airing this Thursday at 9:30/8:30c on NBC) picks up the very next day. And there’s a bit of a hiccup.

“He was supposed to go out on a date with someone else,” star Cristin Milioti teases.

Happily Divorced TV Review

TV Land is kicking off another original series, and Happily Divorced fits in the same mold as its other successes. That is to say, it's a fairly screwy comedy that you'd expect to see coming out in the 80's. Fran Drescher is an L.A. florist who finds herself dating again after 18 years of marriage. Nothing that doesn't happen everyday, except that Fran isn't married anymore because her husband suddenly came out of the closet at her, and he still lives in the house.

The pilot solidifies itself pretty quickly, and establishes the idea that, at least for quite some time, the show will revolve around the curious husband/wife/new boyfriend triangle, with support coming from - Fran's parents Dori and Glen (Rita Moreno and Robert Walden), Fran's best friend Judi (Tichina Arnold), and her flower delivery employee (Valente Rodriguez).

By the way, Fran's husband Peter is played by John Michael Higgins,

Disney Xd Orders Live-Action Comedy Pilot

Exclusive: Disney Xd has added another pilot to its growing development slate. The boy-centric cable channel has greenlighted Pack of Wolves, a comedy from writer Jason Ward (Living with Fran). Ward and Jay Kogen (Frasier) are executive producing the project, which centers on the Oppenheimer siblings (Edison, Darwin, and Albert). They are being raised by their single dad, a brilliant professor, who rents their extra bedroom to a guy named Timberwolf (aka the Wolf), a rogue spy looking for a place to lie low. The Wolf proceeds to teach the kids how to apply spy tactics to their teen lives in the suburbs. Disney Xd has been relying mostly on broadcast sitcom veterans for its development. The channel recently handed out a series order to multi-camera comedy Wasabi Warriors created by Jim O'Doherty (Grounded for Life). And in May, it ordered a comedy pilot from That '70s Show alumni Mark Brazill,

New Fran Drescher Sitcom Greenlit

Fran Drescher's made a career out of her nasal voice and tacky charm, starting way back with her appearance in the iconic mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap. Long-running sitcom The Nanny followed the loudmouthed girl from Queens into a wealthy home run by British silver fox Mr. Sheffield, where she taught rich people how to let loose.

Drescher has ventured back into primetime since The Nanny ended with the short-lived cougar show Living With Fran, and she's now been greenlit for Happily Divorced, based on Drescher herself and her former husband, who came out as gay. The newly single Fran (the fake one, we mean) is entering the dating world again.

Fran Drescher Tawks About Her New Daytime Gig, 'Nanny' Similarities & Reuniting With Old Co-Stars
Filed under: Celebrity Interviews, The Show Girl

Fran Drescher is well known from shows like 'The Nanny' and 'Living With Fran,' but her trademark will always be her voice.

So it's only fitting that her signature sound -- and that trademark-worthy laugh -- get its own arena. Enter 'The Fran Drescher Tawk Show,' her new daytime show which premieres in several markets today (Fri., Nov. 26; check local listings).

I caught up with Drescher to get the scoop on her new show, which she describes as a mix between 'Oprah,' 'Rosie' and 'Charlie Rose,' with a splash of 'The Nanny.' So what's it like being the interviewer after years as the interviewee? And can we expect some cast reunions of her old shows? Check it out ...

NBC Cancels Heroes, Trauma, Mercy, Officially Picks Up Chuck, The Cape, Outlaw, Harry’S Law, Friends With Benefits

There’s been plenty of speculation, but now it’s official: Heroes is cancelled. The Live Feed reports that the ratings simply sunk too low to justify the budget, though fans may hold out hope that NBC is considering a “special or movie” to wrap up loose storylines. Likewise, NBC has no use for the low-rated freshman medical dramas Mercy and Trauma, so neither will get a second season.

On the flip side, NBC officially renewed Chuck for a fourth season(!) and picked up four new series: the superhero-centric The Cape, retitled legal dramas Outlaw (formerly titled Garza) and Harry’s Law (formerly titled Kindreds), and twenty-something singles comedy Friends With Benefits. Check out a press release with all the details after the jump.

Here’s the official press release:

Wouldn’t it be nice to wake up and be a secret agent overnight? As the titular lead of the television show Chuck, Chuck Bartowski would probably say it’s not so nice, but he’s had his fair share of adventure and lady love.

For those who need a download of information on the series, brace yourselves. Chuck works for the Nerd Herd department of a Burbank Buy More store, an ode to Best Buy’s Geek Squad (which, by the way, does have a Burbank location). Chuck had a simple life until he opens an email sent from his former college roommate and the whole of the United States’ secret information gets downloaded directly into his brain. More after the jump.

Jamie Kennedy to produce 'Northwood'

Jamie Kennedy to produce 'Northwood'
Jamie Kennedy is ramping up his producing efforts, signing on for the indie drama "In Northwood."

Nick Stahl will star in the film, a redemption tale centering on a man condemned to a mental hospital for committing murder. Kennedy described the project as taking place "at a moment when you're at a crossroads and have to choose what decisions you would make to survive."

First-time director D.W. Brown, a playwright who was Kennedy's acting teacher, will direct from his own script. The indie-financed project begins production this month.

Kennedy will produce via his Jizzy Entertainment banner. Mike Wittlin and Sandy Solowitz also are producing, with Mike Rachmil executive producing. Olivia Wilde, Dash Mihok and Shohreh Aghdashloo will co-star.

The move is part of Kennedy's bid to ramp up his feature production efforts. He wrote and starred in but didn't produce 2003's "Malibu's Most Wanted," created the Fran Drescher sitcom "Living With Fran" and created and starred on WB Network's "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment."

"I'd like to be someone who produces different things, whether it's funny or scary or dramatic," Kennedy said. "I want to show people I can produce movies without necessarily putting my face in them."

Each week, one of the two-person teams will be eliminated until one is left to claim a cash prize.
