Real-life horrors are all around, and few are more terrifying than the fear of becoming mentally ill and spiraling down into an abyss of depression and despair. But there's always hope, as shown in Elizabeth Swados' My Depression: A Picture Book, now an animated short film.

My Depression: The Up and Down and Up of It had its world premiere during this past spring's Tribeca Film Festival, and we were fortunate enough to grab a few moments with one of the film's voice stars, the incomparable Sigourney Weaver.

We know... My Depression isn't really a horror movie by any stretch, but when you're given an opportunity to speak with Ms. Weaver, you grab it! And we can't imagine anyone complaining too loudly about learning more about such a timely, powerful, and inspiring story.

Channel 4 star hits out at 'swear word' Michael Gove over school music

2 April 2014 8:37 AM, PDT | Digital Spy | See recent Digital Spy - TV news news »

Channel 4 star James Rhodes has hit out at politician Michael Gove while introducing his new series.

Rhodes's upcoming Channel 4 show, The Great Instrument Amnesty, sees the classical pianist attempting to find unwanted instruments to give to pupils keen to learn how to play.

However, speaking at Channel 4's factual showcase last night, Rhodes admitted that he was shocked at the state of music lessons in the country and hit out at Gove, the secretary of state for education.

"Music education in this country in the space of a generation has been obliterated," he said. "When I was a kid, it didn't seem to matter if you went to the posh school or the local comprehensive - there were music lessons, there were school orchestras, there were music classes, and it was an integral part not just of my life, but of the life of the school and the curriculum. »
