DVD Details, Art for The Witches Hammer

Mti Home Video has passed along details for the upcoming DVD release of The Witches Hammer . Yep, this baby is due on November 24 and stars Claudia Coulter ( Coma Girl: The State of Grace ), Stephanie Beacham ( Beverly Hills, 90210 Dracula A.D. 1972 ) and Jason Tompkins ( Psychoville ). The disc comes with a making-of featurette, outtakes and trailers. Cover art below! Synopsis: Rebecca is brought back from the brink of death by top secret agency 'Project 571'. She is trained as a lethal assassin and sent on missions to kill that which she has become, a vampire. When Project 571 is destroyed by a gang of vampires, Rebecca is thrown into a quest for an ancient book powerful enough to raise the dead. Exclusive Hanger cover art and more indie DVD news

Ryan Nicholson of Plotdigger Films gave Fango the first look at the DVD cover art for his extreme gruefest Hanger (pictured), now set to hit disc November 17 from the new Breaking Glass company on their Vicious Circle genre label. He also informed us of his plans for an official release of his underground Internet flick Torched, and passed on the art for that one as well.

Hanger stars Nathan Dashwood, Dan Ellis and Fangoria Radio’s Debbie Rochon and centers on the revenge for a botched abortion meted out by the grown-up object of that operation; we previously revealed the specs for the DVD here. Torched, previously available only on bootleg or edited discs, is fully restored on Plotdigger’s DVD, which comes out Nov. 24. First news, exclusive pics, trailer: Bordello Death Tales

Three of the most promising British horror directors have joined forces for an anthology feature which wraps principal photography this week. Pat (Killerkiller) Higgins, James (The Witches Hammer) Eaves and Alan (Jesus Vs. The Messiah) Ronald have pooled their talents for Bordello Death Tales, which aims to revive the British omnibus subgenre that flourished in the 1970s, and provided the exclusive pics seen below.

“Pat and I had been talking about doing a multistory horror project for a while, and came up with the idea of setting it in a brothel,” Eaves tells Fango. “We needed a third director, and Pat suggested Al, who’d worked with him on all of his films. What started as an idea in a pub has blossomed into a full-fledged feature with what I believe are three strong and original tales.”
