Watched this movie today and it was absolutely astounding. All the actors are first timers as far as i know and the director Khoa Do is also on debut. I was particularly impressed with the actor who played Tommy as he had such a great screen presence.
Basically, the movie covers a few days in the lives of three different young adults living in poverty in the Sydney suburb of Cabramatta. Their lives are compelling and tragic and serve as a wake up call to us as viewers; that we NEED to acknowledge that this is going on around us and take action - we cannot continue to turn a blind eye.
As one of the characters says, all they want is a little COMPASSION.
