18 October 2011 8:21 AM, PDT | Celebsology | See recent Celebsology news »

The hot Zac Efron celebrates his 24th birthday today! Most first noticed the actor in his Disney High School Musical days and he later was swooned over by all teen tweens when he began dating co-star Vanessa Hudgens. Luckily for them, the two split in 2010.

Zac later went on to star in films like Hairspray, 17 Again and Charlie St. Cloud. He will also be featured in the 2011 New Year's Eve film.

I'm sorry, but Does No One Remember Summerland? Zac played Cameron in the 2010 WB (CW?) television series. If you've never seen it, go check it out. But in the meantime, check out some trivia about the star.

- Him and ex-girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens met during the HSM casting when they were paired to see how good they looked together.

Q&A: Sara Paxton Swims With the Sharks

2 September 2011 11:00 AM, PDT | NextMovie | See recent NextMovie news »

Sara Paxton is only 23, but she's been acting professionally for 15 years, having gotten her start at age 8 with a bit part in "Liar, Liar" before landing on TV series like "Summerland" and "Darcy's Wild Life." Her big film break came in 2006, when she played a mermaid in the tween fairy tale "Aquamarine."

Now in her 20s, Paxton is transitioning to leading roles, starting with the scare-fest "Shark Night 3-D." We can also catch her on-screen in December in the ensemble romantic comedy "New Year's Eve."

Paxton talked to us about her preference for old-school pop culture, her Latina bonafides and why audiences don't have to keep quiet while watching "Shark Night."

Your co-star Dustin Milligan says you're very funny.

Ha. That's a surprise. He's usually making fun of my swimming skills.

Well, it's high praise from a Canadian.

They know what's funny.

Why do you think people should give "Shark Night" a chance? »

Thankfully, "Shark Night 3D" has several... and none are more babealicious than Sara Paxton.

The 23-year-old blonde beauty has spent quality time on the small screen ("The Beautiful Life," "Summerland," "Darcy's Wild Life") and the big screen ("Aquamarine," "Sydney White"). Thankfully for many, they've required her to appear in various stage of undress and completely gorgeous.

Logan Browning in CW’s Secret Circle

20 July 2011 9:36 AM, PDT | Boomtron | See recent Boomtron news »

Actress Logan Browning has just been announced as the newest member of the cast of the CW’s upcoming series, Secret Circle. The fresh paranormal Ya series was, in fact, picked up by the network from the creators of The Vampire Diaries. It seems like only yesterday we were reporting Secret Circle having snagged a director at long last. Now we can report Cassie and the witches of New Salem will hit your television screen on Thursday, September 15th.

Logan Browning once starred on the TBS network offering Meet the Browns. For the CW she is Sally Matthews, a girl who is not a witch, but is known as “an outsider” in the L.J. Smith novels (and this adaptation) who will befriend Cassie, portrayed by actress Britt Robertson of Life Unexpected fame. Weekend wrap

14 May 2011 4:02 PM, PDT | CapricaTV | See recent CapricaTV news »

To start with the good news, Sasha Roiz will be back on TV every week this fall. His new show, Grimm, has been picked up to series by NBC. Spoiler TV has the first still from the pilot, which was written and exec produced by David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, and we'll probably get more details about the show after the upfronts. For now, here are the basics, from TV Line:

A fantastical drama, Grimm stars David Giuntoli (Privileged) as a detective whose mission is to protect humans living in a world where Grimm’s Fairy Tale characters actually exist. Silas Weir Mitchell (Prison Break), Sasha Roiz (Caprica) and Kate Burton also star. The bad news from NBC is that 17th Precinct didn't make the cut. Not much to add that hasn't been said at the Battlestar Blog.

David E. Kelley's take on Wonder Woman hasn't been picked up either. »

Scream 4

Opens: April 15th 2011

Cast: Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Mary McDonnell, Emma Roberts Director: Wes Craven

Summary: Sidney Prescott, now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with family and friends, but it also brings about the return of Ghostface which puts the whole town in danger.

Analysis: Back in late 1996 when I first began covering film news, "Scream" was released and became more than just a sleeper hit. After years of genre movies being relegated to direct-to-video status, this comedic slasher spawned the biggest surge in the horror film genre since "Halloween" almost two decades before. Its post-modern stylings and witty self-aware dialogue went on to be a big influence on films and television in general.

Yet the "Scream" series itself never could quite capture that glory again. By the time the »

Locke & Key Solidifies Pilot Cast

4 February 2011 11:36 AM, PST | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

According to Deadline.com, Fox's mysterious Locke & Key pilot has added the last piece to their cast and it's a name that surprised me at first.

Jesse McCartney (Summerland) has been chosen to play the eldest Locke child named Ty, joining Miranda Otto, Sarah Bolger, and Skylar Gaertner as the key (sorry) components of what could be another high risk, high concept piece of the Fox puzzle. The show has yet to be picked up to series, but I think the pilot has definitely landed at the right network for consideration. Based on the comic book series of the same name, Locke & Key tells the story of three siblings who, upon the murder of their father, relocate to their family estate with their mother where they're forced to do battle with "an evil entity that's determined to hold the family hostage one way or another until it gets what it »

Two young actors from two popular TV series have become an item, it has been claimed. Sources have confirmed to Just Jared that "Glee" actress Jenna Ushkowitz is dating "The Vampire Diaries" hunk Michael Trevino.

24-year-old Jenna and 26-year-old Michael were recently seen attending the SAG Awards and several after-parties together on Sunday, January 30. A witness told that the twosome "were quite friendly all night and weren't shy about their relationship." The spy furthermore mentioned, "Michael adores Jenna and it really shows."

Before being spotted at the SAG, the pair were reported getting cozy in Las Vegas earlier this month.

The two at the time attended the 24th birthday bash of Jenna's co-star Naya Rivera at The Bank Nightclub, and Michael was seen wrapping his arms around the TV actress while they were dancing at the party.

Lindsey Says: Good For You Zac Efron! You Totally Deserved To Win Fave Movie Star Over Robert Pattinson!

6 January 2011 12:44 PM, PST | HollywoodLife | See recent HollywoodLife news »

What an awesome win! Zac beats R-Patz, K-Stew, his ex-gf Vanessa Hudgens and even Emma Watson for the Favorite Movie Star Under 25 Award! Yes!

America has voted. Zac Efron is the Favorite Movie Star Under 25 according to the award that he won at the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Jan. 5, and, I definitely think that the 23-year-old Charlie St. Cloud actor deserved to take home the award! Sorry Twi-hards, but Robert Pattinson, 24, was not robbed. It’s simple, R-Patz comes second when put up against sexy Zac!

“Thank you so much everybody,” Zac said during his acceptance speech. “I just want to say what an honor it is to be nominated with my contemporaries under 25, many who are friends [Emma Watson, 20, Kristen Stewart, 20, and Zac's ex-gf Vanessa Hudgens, 22, were all up for the award as well] that I love and respect very much. That’s a huge honor.”

“Making movies right now is so crazy,” Zac continued. “There are all these ups and downs »
