Clarity on This Movie, 19 January 2007
Author: masterdamind from Portugal
Just to clarify a few points made by "Author: swmmng (swmmng@hotmail.com) from Michigan" entitled "Comments arguing against many claims made in the movie., 13 December 2004" Well it is rather great that this fabulous movie has earned such attention be it from those who love it or hate it, Because what's important is that people talk about these things, this is about discovering our nature and this is science's contribution to unplugging the locked fearful perception man currently has of his/her current model of reality.
People such as "swmmg" will do all they can to convince you life is predictable and that God is so personal or maybe nonexistent that you shouldn't even be talking publicly about it, I presume this from him saying, I quote "And then the movie goes on to preach to us about God! How can a "scientific" movie propose to do this? Actually, I have a problem with that one guy proscribing what God is and what He isn't. Shouldn't that be up to the individual, thank you very much?".
Well after the "wonderful" work religions have done to fill you with fear and guilt and manipulate and torture every single divine essence of the human spirit I really don't blame the many, many people who remark similarly because I would too if I had never known any better. The truth is religions are not and as far as I know have never been synonymous of spirituality or about God at all. So, what I suggest is that you really stop and ponder what situations, resources, events, etc. have led you to this view that God is private and must not be shared. Quoting one of the finest parts of this film, Ramtha says:"God must transcend the greatest of human weaknesses. And, indeed, the greatest of human skill. God must transcend even our most remarkable attempts to emulate nature in its absolute splendor. How can any man or woman sin against such a greatness? How can any carbon unit on Earth, in the backwaters of the Milky Way - indeed, the boondocks - possibly betray God Almighty? That is impossible. The height of arrogance is the height of control of those who would recreate God in their own image." So God should never be about war or manipulation but is everything about bringing people together and loving one another, and especially yourself. So if you can't allow people to speak openly about such a thing, you are really shutting yourself out of such enlightenment or even the possibility of it.
Just before going on to comment other things, I think I can absolutely say that anyone who has taken the time to contemplate within his or her self unrestricted by dogma and religion and superstition has definitely sensed what you might call higher states of consciousness and an inner peace and wellness that cannot be ignored. That is, I guess personal, because there is no way you can make other people believe or sense what you sense or believe and so it might make it quite tough struggling against all those living the illusion-but hey the choice is yours.
As far as this comment on the receptors "Biology's not my thing, but there's a point where you just have to bring out a contradiction. One lady says that if you keep bombarding a cell with a certain chemical, the receptors on that cell will decrease. But soon after, a guy comes on and says that this same daily bombardment will cause the cell to produce a new cell when it divides that has MORE of the receptors. Contradiction. Oops." The issue is that the receptors that decrease are the one's not being used up such as the vitally important ones and when the cells do multiply they are prepared with more of the ones that are being mainly triggered, so in order for these ones to increase the other ones are decreasing, thus helping the body is worn down, usually it is the emotional stimulus that is getting the longer "airtime" and so everything else must be decreased in order to allow more room to be taken up by these molecules of emotion.
There are various other comments such as these that are really very biased and really just set out to disrepute a movie which has revolutionized an area which will not be reduced to a limited few because it entitles all of us, at this moment our world is not an example of happy, loving, healthy living for the greatest majority of its inhabitants even in super privileged countries like the U.S., Australia, Britain, Germany, France, etc, and greedy consumption and materialism pave the way and in doing so hide the answers. The world needs changes and it needs answers and knowledgeable information. Open your mind!
Love, baby Love...
