hymn to Valérie Crunchant's body
26 August 2004 | by (fr) – See all my reviews

Capitaine Achab is wonderful short film. Philippe Ramos makes very successful pictures about landscape and woman's body.

Thanks to Valérie Crunchant a very good Young actress revealed by Jean-Paul Civeyrac in all fine promises. Captan Ahab fall in love with the young Louise (Valérie Crunchant). She incarnates Ahab's spouse and the white skin of her naked body symbolises the image of the white whale which appears in Ahab's dreams : a very pecular interpretation of Moby Dick. This short story is a very amusing story and a magnificent hymn to the beautiful Valérie Crunchant's body. We hope to see her again in the next movies of Ramos.
