• Continuity: (At 00:30:33 and 00:30:43) The part of 'Hannah Montana' that Jesse's sisters are watching repeats while Leslie is at the Aarons' home.
  
  
• Continuity: When Leslie tells Jesse to open her purse to let the light out, the purse switches from Jesse's (at 01:02:31 on the DVD) to Leslie's hands (at 01:02:32) and back again (at 01:02:33) between shots.
  
  
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: When the song "Someday" is played in the classroom scenes (at 00:28:24 to 00:28:55), Leslie turns to look at Jesse and we see her mouth the words "I know there's a better way" and the audio matches. However, when the shot changes back to Jesse, he is mouthing words during a rest between lines of the song.
  
  

• Continuity: When Jesse is pouring the paint into the creek/river, the first shot shows the current taking the paint away to his right (at 01:20:32). The second shot shows the current taking the paint away to his left (at 01:20:36).
  
  
• Continuity: When Janice comes back on the bus after getting rejected by Willard Hughs, an eighth grade girl with long blonde hair and a reddish brown sweater is sitting on the right side one seat ahead of the back seat (at 00:47:38), moves to the left side and forward one seat (at 00:47:51 to 00:48:11), then disappears (at 00:48:13).
  
  
• Continuity: The position of the keys Jesse places on the table changes in the following shot (at 01:05:35 to 01:05:40).
  
  
• Continuity: The painting scene at Leslie's house (at 00:49:07 to 00:50:12). The paint on the wall changes considerably between shots, appearing, then disappearing.
  
  
• Continuity: The amount of keys on the key ring that Jess retrieves varies between shots: At 00:57:00 it is five or six rings linked together as his dad hands them to him; at 00:64:34 it is small and fits easily in Jess' palm after the giant troll catches him; at 00:65:38 where it is five or six rings linked together again as Jess gives them back to his dad.
  
  
• Continuity: When Leslie gives Jess his birthday present on the school bus, her hair is covering her left ear in shots from one angle (at 00:35:42) and is behind her left ear from other angles (at 00:35:36).
  
  
• Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): The scene where Jess helps the Burkes paint the walls of a room in the Burke's house: as soon as they are done painting the room, we see Jess and the three Burkes all sitting on the floor with their backs against the freshly painted wall. The paint would still have been wet - it's doubtful they would all be leaning their backs against wet paint.
  
  
• Continuity: After Leslie dies, and Jess goes down to the river with his paints, the water is mucky and dirty, though when it shows the view from beneath the water, the water appears crystal clear (besides the paint in it).
  
  
• Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When the pine cone is dropped on Jess and Leslie, Jess called them grenades and Leslie said that there were no grenades. But when they are attacked again and they throw the pine cones she turns to Jess and says "Told you they were grenades."
