An inside look to an American original
jotix10014 July 2004
This documentary shows a different view on a great innovator of the American cinema. In it, we learn a lot about Robert Altman, not only the film director, but about his integrity and his passion for the movies.

Mr. Altman comes out as a beloved no nonsense figure. He was light years ahead of others in the way he wanted to present his films. As far as the independent film spirit, he defined it by going to places no one had explored before. It is obvious that the actors adore him because he, in turn love his actors and welcomes their input in the films they are working together. Robert Altman is the epitome of the word collaboration in the way he involves everyone in a film.

By watching this portrait of Robert Altman we discover the man behind the camera like no other director at all.
