"Bunch of Fives" Was a British 1977-1978 Children's' TV series drama, aired midweek on Itv an hour or so after school was out.It was about fifth formers investigating stories for their unofficial school magazine. The 2 lead actors were, Lesley Manville playing Helen Wyatt and Jamie Foreman playing Chris Taylor. Both have carved out excellent careers in TV and Movies. Some of it was filmed at Ravenscroft Secondary school (now The Ravenscroft School, A Specialist Technology College) in Barnet Lane,Barnet,Herts, London, England. One day between classes, I saw Jamie Foreman wearing football kit on the sports field rubbing, mud over himself.Whaaat!, I thought. He'd been preparing to shoot a scene where he comes in from having played football and then talks to the teacher in the hallway. During a gap in filming, one of the school Romeos (First initial K. Clue:Last name initial is related to "F...... earth" the clay like substance)halfheartedly suggested that Lesley Manville might have the pleasure of going out with him.I think she chose not to hear him. The headmaster made a crack, I think in assembly, about one of the school lads (blonde, last name initial is E, Clue:lead actors name in "Boon". you know who you are, maybe you went into acting like your namesake?)going up the stairway and appearing again at the bottom to go up the stairway yet again all in the same scene, as if he was more than one character.
