Storyline

Thirty-something Harold Steptoe travels around London in his horse and cart looking for junk that his widowed father Albert can sell on from their dilapidated junk shop in Oil Drum Lane, Shepherd's Bush. Harold yearns for better things and when he has an offer to move up in the world as a dealer,he prepares to leave home.
