An all around great follow-up to CTR.

When it comes to Crash Bandicoot racing games, this is, without a doubt, one of the best ones out there. The great visuals, very fun gameplay, huge amount of variety, and great music makes it hard to deny that this game is pretty epic. The visuals are great for 2003, as not only the world's look more vibrant and full of life, but the characters have also been polished more than CTR. The gameplay is great in almost all aspects, with its controls, the race tracks, the power-ups, and the looseness of the characters. I also admire the amount of variety is in this game, as it seems there's never a dull moment. The music in this game is also very well composed and worked perfectly for what this game is about. All in all, this game is pretty great. However, it doesn't come without its flaws. One being is the story. It seemed very unoriginal and predictive, as almost everything that happened in this game is everything I thought was gonna happen already. The other being it's gameplay. Now, I stand with the fact that the gameplay in this game is amazing and fun, but it's pretty much the exact same thing as CTR. Not to say that's bad, because the gameplay is also amazing in that game, but it seems like Vicarious Visions didn't add that much more than what CTR already had, so the gameplay, while it's really fun and great, never really gave me that big of a wow factor. All in all, this game is great for the most part, and I recommend to anyone who's a fan of the Crash Bandicoot series, as this game is a great racing game, despite its flaws, and an all around great follow-up to CTR.
