Bet Launches Streaming Apps for Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast

Viacom’s Bet Networks is now streaming programming on three connected-tv devices — Apple TV, Google’s Chromecast and Roku players — although the cabler’s “TV Everywhere” service is available only to subscribers of participating pay-tv providers.

The Bet Now video service provides unlimited on-demand access to Bet’s original series, specials, and hundreds of hours of bonus and digital-exclusive content, as well as the live broadcast of the Bet channel, to authenticated users. Until now, the Bet Now authenticated video service has been available only for Apple iOS and Android mobile devices.

The launch on Apple TV, Chromecast and Roku coincides with the Oct. 11 premieres of new seasons of “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” the reality-tv parody starring Kevin Hart (pictured above) and reality series “The Gary Owen Show” and “Ink, Paper, Scissors” about Salon Ramsey, Atlanta’s biggest, baddest, one-stop beauty shop. Other shows and specials available on the service include the Bet Hip Hop Awards, the »
