Emma Thompson scripts this family comedy (based on the "Nurse Matilda" books by Christianna Brand) and stars as the mysterious Nanny McPhee, who takes charge of the seven exceptionally naughty children of a newly widowed man (Colin Firth). The children have driven away 17 previous nannies with their pranks and antics, but McPhee's fantastical skills and magical powers help to tame the incorrigible kids. Kirk Jones directs and Angela Lansbury and Kelly MacDonald co-star. Available in separate widescreen and full screen editions.
