The judge - whose future on the BBC competition has been in doubt for some time - confirmed news of her exit on Twitter and Facebook and blamed her tour dates.

When news broke that Minogue's Kiss Me Once tour could clash with filming for The Voice UK, the BBC suggested that the schedule could be changed to accommodate her.

However, Minogue tweeted today: "#Lovers, due to timing of my tour I won't be back next season for The Voice UK. Thanks to all who supported! Hope to see you on my Kmo tour!"

She added further information on her Facebook page, writing: "Hi Lovers, thanks to all of you for your incredible support throughout this past season of The Voice UK. I'm sad to say that, due to the timing of my European tour, I won't be back »

Jamie Johnson has finished in fourth place on tonight's (April 5) final of The Voice.

The Team Kylie singer was announced as the act with the lowest amount of public votes when lines were frozen after each finalist had performed twice.

Earlier in the evening, Jamie performed a rendition of 'Missing You' and also duetted with mentor Kylie Minogue on a cover of 'There Must Be An Angel (Playing With My Heart)' by the Eurythmics.

Following his exit, Jamie said: "I thought I'd be really, really upset and start crying, but I've just realised what an experience I've had and where I've come from. I was gigging doing little bars and pubs in front of people who didn't really want to listen."

He went on to thank his fans and Minogue, adding: "It really does mean the world."

will.i.am has remained coy about his future on The Voice.

The BBC singing show - which ends its third series this weekend - has already been renewed for two further runs, but the coaching lineup has not yet been confirmed.

Speaking on tonight's episode of Alan Carr Chatty Man, will.i.am remained coy when he was asked whether he will return for a fourth series.

"I like doing it," he said. "I really, really do. I really enjoy it. One of the main reasons why I like being on The Voice is... I like being in the UK, I like being here, I like the culture, so any excuse to be here is [good]. I'm not saying doing The Voice is an excuse to be in the UK, but I like it."

The Voice coach Ricky Wilson has revealed that he was prescribed seasickness medication to deal with his nerves before the live shows.

The Kaiser Chiefs frontman - who previously admitted to Digital Spy that he would be more anxious than his team - explained that he was feeling light-headed about the prospect of going live.

"I went to the doctors because I was dizzy and the doctor said, 'You are a bit anxious'," Wilson told The Sun. "Every time I stood up I thought I was going to fall over."

However, Wilson explained that he decided not to take the pills, explaining: "I was given tablets which I pretended to take - I thought they might do something weird. It took every ounce of strength to get on with it but my fears went as soon as the camera was rolling."

The X Factor: Who do the stars want to see as a judge?

27 March 2014 5:58 AM, PDT | Digital Spy | See recent Digital Spy - TV news news »

There was one question on our lips at the opening night of I Can't Sing last night - and it wasn't whether the show would make it past the interval (it did). Nope, we wanted to find out just who'd be filling that fourth judge seat on the X Factor panel, and the glittery celebs at the musical seemed like good people to ask. So who wants Chris Martin? Who's backing Fergie? And, er, who's waiting for Louis to die? Read on to find out...

Matt Richardson - Chris Martin

"I think a rock superstar would be good - someone like Matt Bellamy from Muse or Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day. Someone who's done gigging and slogging away on the circuit of pubs and clubs would be a really interesting addition to the panel. If I was booking it that's the kind of person I'd be looking for. Elaine Stritch and Kylie discuss being gay icons, Jupiter Ascending gives us an effete villain, Frank Ocean back in studio

Frank Ocean is back in the studio recording his second album, nearly two years after he released Channel Orange, so it’s more than time for new music.

Inspired by the new Terrance McNally play Mothers and Sons, my friend David Mixner is afraid too much of Lgbt history is being lost. Even with his own papers at Yale and two books out (both of which I’m proud to own autographed copies of), David worries that an oral history would fill in the gaps that are being lost from the early days. “The struggle to preserve our history over the years has faced enormous barriers. Members of the gay community in the early years of our struggle for liberation were reluctant to keep records, papers, and videos for fear of discovery. »

Is there any hope left for The Voice?

24 March 2014 6:00 AM, PDT | The Guardian - TV News | See recent The Guardian - TV News news »

Kylie may have given the ailing talent show a bit of much-needed zip – but if it wants to survive it needs to make some major changes. Here are some suggestions

The good news is that we're just two episodes away from the end of The Voice. The bad news is that we've still got the remainder of The Voice's live shows to get through. Traditionally, this is where The Voice falls flat, and Saturday's show was no different – the singers are dull, the criticism is flaccid and, since the last two years have shown that winning The Voice offers roughly the same level of career boost as selling a cassette of your demo to an old lady from the boot of your car near a Tesco, nobody really cares who wins.

If we're being generous, there have been improvements this year – Kylie is better than Jessie J, Emma Willis »

The Voice: Kylie Minogue tour dates clash with possible fourth series

23 March 2014 5:56 AM, PDT | Digital Spy | See recent Digital Spy - TV news news »

The BBC has denied reports that Kylie Minogue has quit The Voice UK.

The 'Sexercise' singer recently told The Mirror that filming of a possible fourth series would clash with her upcoming tour.

"I'm touring this year and the timings wouldn't work," she said. "We started filming in November last year for the show, and this year I'm on tour in September, October and November."

Responding to subsequent speculation that Minogue would not be returning to The Voice after the current series, the BBC said in a statement to Digital Spy: "Kylie is a fantastic addition to the coaching lineup.

"We are aware of Kylie's touring commitments and are looking to accommodate them, so that if the series is recommissioned, she could return to her coaching role.

"Discussions are still ongoing and it's too early to speculate, as we've not finished this series yet."

Kylie Minogue Flaunts Figure In Incredibly Hot "Sexercize" Video

Warning: This video is semi-nsfw ... and very, very sexy.Talk about too hot to handle! Kylie Minogue just dropped her brand new video for "Sexercize" and it's pretty ridiculous. From recreating various sex positions to flaunting her amazing figure in a nude body suit, the 45-year-old leaves very little to the imagination. We gotta hand it to the Australian pop star though -- she's definitely still got it. The song is pretty catchy too, and sounds way different than Minogue's usual stuff. The song is the second single from her brand new album, "Kiss Me Once."Between the leotard and explicit content, it seems like Kylie may be taking a few pages out of Madonna's playbook though, right? What do you think about the blonde beauty's new video? Is she trying too hard ... or is it just right?  Read more »
