Formality... Something to say thanks in Mexican cinema
17 April 2005 | by (Mexico City) – See all my reviews

It's not the first time someone explores over the movie LA COMUNIDAD, by Alex de la Iglesia. But -at least in Mexico- it's the first time is done professionally. There was this movie -SANTOS PEREGRINOS- over the same subject (a group of people locked up under extreme conditions, and a series of killings) that had nothing but bad, amateur, craftsmanship in movie making. CLUB EUTANASIA is another story. At least the director (who likes to be called "el Oso" meaning "The Bear") Agustín Tapia, displays a professional attitude towards his own movie: you can feel the long hours on pre-production. And that, in the end, in today's Mexican cinema, is enough to say thanks. Great coming back of Mr. Eduardo Manzano, also.
