Happy Birthday, Rachel McAdams! Let's Look Back at Some of Her Most Fetch Movie Lines
Today marks Rachel McAdams' birthday, and while it may be hard to believe (because didn't she play high schooler Regina George, like, yesterday), she's turning 39! The actress got her start in Hollywood playing smaller roles beginning in 2001 when she was just 23. Her first major role was in 2004's Mean Girls in which she played 17-year-old Regina (despite being 26), and shortly after that, she took on Allie Hamilton in our favorite watch-to-make-us-cry movie, The Notebook. Since then, McAdams has stayed at the top of our favorite actresses list, taking on movies like Wedding Crashers, The Vow and Southpaw. She even dabbled in television, playing Detective Ani Bezzerides in 2015's...

Hugh Hefner Biopic Wants Margot Robbie
Just a week after it was announced that RatPac Entertainment's Hugh Hefner Biopic will star Jared Leto as Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, another report claims the actor may be joined by a very familiar partner in crime. The method actor's Suicide Squad co-star Margot Robbie is considering an offer to play one of Hugh Hefner's wives in the movie, although it isn't clear which wife she'll play. Ironically, the actress turned down an offer from the real Hugh Hefner to appear in his Playboy Magazine, but this offer is one she's actually considering. Here's what an unidentified source had to say about Margot Robbie taking on the role.

"Margot turned the offer down before but this is different. She's considering it. Jared is working on the movie with his buddy Brett and they're really pushing for Margot to have a major role. She's perfect for a part and he's

‘Brawl in Cell Block 99’ Director S. Craig Zahler on Casting Vince Vaughn and Realistic Violence

In Brawl in Cell Block 99, Vince Vaughn, after finding out his wife is having an affair, assaults her car in a fashion that would remind anyone who owned a Sega Genesis or Super Nes in the 90s of a bonus stage in Street Fighter II. Vaughn, who is mostly known for his roles in broad comedies, including the likes of Wedding Crashers and Old School, plays Bradley Thomas, a no-nonsense, towering figure with a large, black cross tattooed on the back of his head. Thomas runs drugs to support his wife Lauren (Jennifer Carpenter) who is pregnant with their first child, who they adorably refer to as “The Koala.”

He works for a dealer named Gil, who is working on developing a partnership with a Mexican dealer. Thomas is skeptical when Gil persuades him with time off after the birth of his daughter. The run goes bad and the Mexican dealer,

10 Things You Didn’t Know about “Wedding Crashers”

It was a movie that made your eyes widen and your jaw drop when you realized just how much nerve anyone would have to possess to crash a wedding in such ridiculous and convincing style. On the other hand it was hilarious to think that no one would bother to figure out that these two had nothing to do with the wedding and were there for the free food and drinks. The mere fact that something like this could conceivably happen is kind of disturbing but it’s also just jaw-dropping to think that anyone would. Of all the reasons a

'Brawl in Cell Block 99' Review: Vince Vaughn Gets Nasty in Brutal, Batshit Prison Flick

'Brawl in Cell Block 99' Review: Vince Vaughn Gets Nasty in Brutal, Batshit Prison Flick
Say "Vince Vaughn," and what's the first image that comes up? His "you're so money" suit-wearing Swingers alpha male? His heroic environmentalist-slash-shutterbug in the first Jurassic Park sequel? Maybe your go-to Vaughn is The Break-Up–era bloated version that graced tabloid covers and Jennifer Aniston's beach pics, or the smarmy comic Casanova of Wedding Crashers? Forget those other Vinces. Whenever someone says the actor's name, you'll now see a glowering, menacing hulk of a man, one with a tattoo of a cross on the back of his shorn skull

Jared Leto to Play Hugh Hefner in Biopic

Jared Leto to Play Hugh Hefner in Biopic
Jared Leto will play Hugh Hefner in a Brett Ratner-directed biopic about the Playboy founder, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"My goal is to do the motion picture as an event," Ratner said.

A Hefner biopic has been in development since 2007. Initially Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment owned the rights to the project; Robert Downey Jr. and Hugh Jackman were reportedly possible choices for the Hefner role. The rights later went to producer Jerry Weintraub for Warner Bros., and Wedding Crashers director David Dobkin was in talks to take on the project.

Vince Vaughn Reborn: Why the Actor Left Comedy Behind to Play a Badass in Brutal ‘Brawl in Cell Block 99’

Vince Vaughn Reborn: Why the Actor Left Comedy Behind to Play a Badass in Brutal ‘Brawl in Cell Block 99’
Brawl in Cell Block 99” introduces the retooled and muscle-plated Vince Vaughn 2.0 headfirst, his shaved and tattooed skull stomping away from the camera like an asteroid hurtling toward earth. Action Vaughn 2.0 has the same movie star qualities as the hunk of “Swingers”: the barreling 6’5″ frame, the deep-set eyes that convinced Rihanna to call him the sexiest man alive.

But now that Vaughn is 47, his powerful torso has the leather-knotted look of a man who spent his life pounding railroad spikes—no vanity abs here—and the exhausted shadows on his face say he’s seen too much. And that’s not just because he and “Cell Block” writer-director S. Craig Zahler just wrapped their second film together, “Dragged Across Concrete,” just four days before flying to Austin for the movie’s American premiere at Fantastic Fest. (It opens theatrically on October 6.)

For the first time in two decades, and

‘Brawl In Cell Block 99’: Vince Vaughn & Don Johnson Praise “Genius” Director Craig S. Zahler

  • The Playlist
In “Brawl in Cell Bock 99” Vince Vaughn plays Bradley Thomas. With a cross tattooed on the back of his skull, and impressively added muscle tissue to his physique, Vaughn’s transformation is a harrowing but impressive feat for the 47-year-old actor best known for his comedic roles in “Old School” and “Wedding Crashers.”

Bradley, the violent, but honorable man he plays in the film is sentenced to seven years for selling drugs, and is then blackmailed by none other than 72-year-old Udo Kier, and is forced to cause as much damage as possible to get transferred to the incarceration hell that is “Red Leaf.” The warden of that prison is played by none other than Don Johnson who runs the place like a psycho bent on behavioral punishment.

Brawl in Cell Block 99 Trailer Uncages a Brutal Vince Vaughn

Brawl in Cell Block 99 Trailer Uncages a Brutal Vince Vaughn
Rlj Entertainment has released a new trailer for the upcoming action-thriller Brawl in Cell Block 99, which stars Vince Vaughn in a decidedly non-comedic role. While Vince Vaughn certainly made a name for himself in comedic fare like Swingers and Wedding Crashers, to name a few, the actor is looking to branch out into more dramatic work, taking on the role of Bradley, who, as you can see in this trailer, is quite violent by nature. He'll have to put those violent tendencies to the test when he's locked up in this prison thriller.

In Brawl in Cell Block 99, a former boxer named Bradley (Vince Vaughn) loses his job as an auto mechanic, and his troubled marriage is about to end. At this crossroads in his life, he feels that he has no better option than to work for an old buddy as a drug courier. This improves his

Vince Vaughn gives the badass thing another shot in the Brawl On Cell Block 99 trailer

Followers of Vince Vaughn’s career will know that it pretty much comes in two distinct settings. Great Job, Internet!: Read This: How Wedding Crashers became “this generation’s Animal House”

  • The AV Club
Wedding Crashers opened more than a decade ago to rave reviews, going on to unexpectedly make some $200 million at the box office. A new oral history from Mel Magazine digs into the movie’s success, using firsthand interviews with the movie’s director, writers, stars, and crew, and in the process it lays out a straight line from some of their behind-the-scenes decisions to the resurgence of bromance comedies (like The Hangover and many Judd Apatow movies) in intervening years.

Casting was crucial for this. The film hinges on the comic repartee of stars Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, but also features a slate of then-unknown talents like Isla Fisher, Bradley Cooper, and Rachel McAdams, as well as well-placed supporting spots from Jane Seymour and Christopher Walken. Director David Dobkin insisted upon several weeks of rehearsals, during which improvisation and actor input was considered and then put into a ...

The 25 Best Comedies of the 21st Century, Ranked

The 25 Best Comedies of the 21st Century, Ranked
Now more than ever, the world could use a laugh. This bizarre, in-progress century has already produced any number of great comedies, which is to say that many of your (and our) favorites were left out: sorry, “Toy Story 3”; sorry, “Knocked Up.” As we tend to lean toward the indie side — and away from certain men-behaving-badly movies — there are also some titles on here that you might not have seen.

There are even some you may not consider to be straightforward comedies. You may not think of “Lost in Translation” or “Mistress America” as laugh riots, but we felt it best to be broad in our approach — any movie that balances its darker shades with cathartic humor was eligible. You’ll notice that we like women and Working Title (the British production company responsible for several titles on this list), which is to say: This is less a definitive

Owen Wilson’s Son Ford, 6, Might ‘Be a Little Stunt Man in Training’: ‘He’s a Big Jackie Chan Fan’
Owen Wilson may be the one voicing the velocity-defying legend Lightning McQueen in the Cars franchise, but in real life, his son is giving him a run for his money.

The actor stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday to dish about his work on the upcoming Cars 3, his famous family as well as how his two boys — Finn, 3, and Robert Ford, 6 — are developing, personality wise.

“Ford seems like he might even be a little stunt man in training,” says Wilson, 48, of his “fearless” older child, sharing a video of the little guy doing a belly flop into a

Celebrate National Look-Alike Day with these 7 famous doppelgängersCelebrate National Look-Alike Day with these 7 famous doppelgängersAdriana Floridia4/20/2017 9:40:00 Am

Today is National Look-Alike day, and so naturally we're here to take a look at some startlingly similar actors and actresses in film.

Have you ever watched a movie thinking it was one actor on screen, only to realize later that it was actually someone who just looked a lot like them? We've been there, and we'll admit that we've mixed up these actors before. Who hasn't thought that Frodo was Harry, and Harry was Frodo? We've also confused Gandalf and Dumbledore, but we're trying to put that one behind us.

The following actors could quite possibly be related, if we looked at their ancestral charts. If that's not the case then we can't explain the phenomenon of their nearly identical likenesses. We wish we had a celebrity twin.

Random Roles: Jane Seymour on how Dr. Quinn was not supposed to last and her “whole new career” in comedy

  • The AV Club
Welcome to Random Roles, wherein we talk to actors about the characters who defined their careers. The catch: They don’t know beforehand what roles we’ll ask them to talk about.

The actor: Since making her film debut in 1969, Jane Seymour has experienced a number of career renaissances and repeatedly managed to reinvent herself as an actor, something that happens all too infrequently in Hollywood. While you can attribute part of her success to her ability to bounce between high drama and lowbrow comedy seemingly without blinking an eye, it’s just as likely because she doesn’t like to lose. With a filmography that includes spies (Live And Let Die), Cylons (Battlestar Galactica), century-spanning romance (Somewhere In Time), frat-boy comedy (Wedding Crashers), and life in a frontier town (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman), Seymour keeps audiences guessing as to where she’s going to turn up next. Currently ...

Overboard remake to reverse the roles

Joseph Baxter Mar 7, 2017

A remake of the 1987 Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn romcom Overboard will star Anna Faris and Eugenio Derbez.

Overboard, a prominent example of 1980s cinematic absurdity, is getting a big screen remake. The original 1987 movie was directed by the late Garry Marshall, and starred Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. For the remake? The stars of the reboot will reverse the roles of their original counterparts.

The upcoming remake of Overboard will star Anna Faris and Eugenio Derbez. The original film centred on the unlikely romance between wealthy heiress Joanna (Hawn) and blue-collar carpenter Dean (Russell). After initially mistreating Dean on a job, Joanna accidentally falls off her yacht, later found with no memory of her identity. However, motivated by both revenge and love, Dean tricks Joanna into believing that she’s 'Annie', his wife and mother to his four young rowdy sons; a awkwardly difficult,
