Shot on MiniDV format on a Sony Handycam Camcorder (model TR-17E). The video footage was altered heavily in the post-production process and film lights with green gels were used to create a more filmic look.
The film totaled over 70,000 downloads in its first five days; its website received 3 million hits in the same period. It also featured as a story on the New Zealand Television One National News and the national newspaper - The New Zealand Herald.
During the movie's chase sequence, an Agent slides neatly to a halt in a standing position. This is actually a blooper. Actor Vaughan Beckley's shoes were worn down to virtually no grip and the floor was wet and, had the shot continued past the edit point, the audience would've witnessed the Agent hurtling out of the frame head first.
Most of the film was shot guerilla style, illegally in locations all around Auckland New Zealand. Many of the interiors for the chase sequence were achieved by the cast and crew sneaking into various buildings after hours and shooting in the early hours of the morning.
