The coming of a huge tropical storm brings out a rare form of fear in Mitch over a bad memory about a big storm that struck Los Angeles when he was seven back in 1961, and he meets a mysterious Hawaiian who tries to persuade Mitch to overcome his fear. Also, Hobie seeks comfort with Shauni over his fear of surfing the huge waves of the storm to impress his more outgoing friends.
