Not a typical Christmas animation...And that is very good.
23 December 2013 | by (Peru) – See all my reviews

I found "Noël Noël" to be a charming Christmas special.

The story is something original and atypical (Something very rare for Christmas animations which usually stick to the same formulas and archetypes) but it still has a valid message, which makes a subtle satire of consumerism and Christmas commercialism done in a good spirited manner, which makes it appropriate for all ages.

The art style is simplistic but cute and appealing and the same time. The same can be said about the story, which even when it isn't a masterpiece, it is enjoyable to watch, having effective gags and neat characters.

If you are looking for a different kind of Christmas special, this would be a good choice.
