Storyline

What if Darren Aronofsky's "Pi" were crossed with the Weitz brothers' "American Pie"? In black and white, computer geek Max squirrels away in his room, studying pi in hopes it will disclose to him the secret of sexual fulfillment. Meanwhile, his high school prom is two weeks away, and, in full color, his buddies are encouraging him to score with somebody, maybe Michelle, a student who seems to like him. Max consults the Jewish elders, he seeks enlightenment in kugel, he tutors Nadia in his bedroom. With the prom less than 3.1416 days away, will Max find insight? Written by <jhailey@hotmail.com>

A mildly amusing spoof
21 March 2004 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Max must solve the mathematical equation for "getting nookie" in this spoof short combining elements of "Pi" and "American Pie" does boast a chuckle or two, but for a short thats only a tad over nine minutes some of the jokes take too long to play out. The acting is OK by all, but I can't help but feel this was more miss then hit. With that said the film is STILL miles better then both the writers previous full-length teen spoof "Not Another Teen Movie". The fact that a barely 10 minute short is far better then a 90 minute one is not an endoresment of this former, just a condemnation of the latter.
