Disney-Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” Super Bowl ad was the most popular trailer of the game. The commercial was out of this world, generating 47,800 new conversations, according to media-measurement firm comScore and its PreAct service.
The new trailer for the “Guardians of the Galaxy” sequel dropped Sunday afternoon right before the Super Bowl Li national anthem. It included Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper), Baby Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel), Yondu (Michael Rooker), Nebula (Karen Gillan), and newcomer Mantis (Pom Klementieff).
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” opens May 5. The original grossed a massive $773 worldwide in 2014.
Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” generated 25,200 new conversations. The first look at the fifth “Pirates” film — which opens on Memorial Day weekend — featured Johnny Depp returning as Jack Sparrow, a ghostly pirate ship, and the dead walking on water. »

“Bayhem” is back with a bang.
Among this year’s slew of Super Bowl commercials on Sunday afternoon was a new trailer for Michael Bay’s upcoming movie, “Transformers: The Last Knight,” the fifth installment in the children’s toy-inspired franchise. And while a short Super Bowl spot was shown during the Big Game and was released online earlier this weekend, an extended look was released on Sunday.
It will be autobot v. autobot in the latest installment, and it looks like Optimus Prime will be fighting his old friends in “The Last Knight.”

“The Last Knight” will see regular heavyweights like Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, and John Turturro return to the series, while adding others like “100 Things to Do Before School” actress Isabela Moner and Anthony Hopkins, who make their “Transformers” debuts.

Overnight news broke that Moulin Rouge star Nicole Kidman and relative newcomer Yahya Abdul-Mateen II are set to join Warner Bros. / DC’s Aquaman. At this stage it seems both are in talks Atlanna, Aquaman’s mother and and the villain Black Manta respectively. If they are confirmed, they’ll join Amber Heard as Aquaman’s royal love interest Mera, Patrick Wilson as villain Orm (also Aquaman’s half brother) and acting veteran Willem Dafoe who is playing Vulko.
Abdul-Mateen II may not be someone you’re familiar with but he’ll appear in Paramount’s movie reboot of hit TV show Baywatch in the summer and has appeared in Netflix’s The Get Down from Moulin Rouge, Australia director Baz Luhrmann (spot the link!). At the moment neither have been confirmed by the studio but THR are reporting that they’re both have been in talks »
