The archival footage of Bing Crosby singing "Little Drummer Boy" was taken from "The Bing Crosby Show" which aired on ABC on December 24, 1962. This was the first color special that aired on ABC. Until recently only a B&W kinescope of the show was known to exist. However, a color master was discovered recently at the library at Georgia State University. See more
