Did You Know?

The four Crystals from the Trophy in Twilight Town represent the four basic spells found in most RPG's: Blue = Blizzard, Red = Fire, Yellow = Thunder & Green = Cure. Interestingly, these also equate to the 4 main and Huge Materia from Final Fantasy VII (Support, Summon, Command and Magic respectively). Also, there is actually a whole level of magic that is not in Kingdom Hearts: Aja. See more »

In the ending when Sora is reading the letter from Kairi, they spell the word "starting" wrong. It is written "Now I will step forward to realize this wish. And who knows. stating a new journey may not be so hard." See more »

I thought it couldn't get any better and I was wrong.

Kingdom Hearts II is better than the first in ways I really didn't see coming. We meet new characters and see some old ones which adds to the fun. When it comes to Kingdom Hearts there are few disappointments and to me there aren't really any in the highly anticipated sequel to the great game.

In this game we return to play as Sora but this time with some new upgrades. You get to use many new combos in battle and even play as a different character a couple times (and I mean very few, but it is still fun). However at the beginning we play as a different character. With the addition of this new character the story becomes a little more emotional and a little bitter sweet. We start out as this character and would hope we would play as Sora later. However when we become Sora later in the game we begin to miss this character because he's a nice guy and a fun character to play as. This time we go to many new worlds along with old but still keeping the game fresh. The camera work is much better than the first game and so are the Gummi Routes. Now we don't have to hate going through them because they're just boring, now it is very fun playing these routes in fact its fun just to do them just because you would want to.

There has been many new improvements to the game that makes this way better than the first. The story is just as great as ever, the battles are very fun with the addition of new combos to use in battle, and the worlds are longer which adds to the excitement of the game. Maybe the voice acting of Leon and other Final Fantasy characters might not be the best (because the voice actors for them except for Cloud were changed). But I don't think anyone would mind much from how much fun the game is, and we even get to hear the voices of characters we weren't able to hear in the first game so that's good. The point is the flaws of the second game don't out-match the finished product. Kingdom Hearts II in my opinion is better than the first game in many ways which helps heighten my anticipation for another game.
