Steve-o has made a career of stapling his scrotum to his thigh and feeding raw chicken to alligators from his jockstrap. So one can imagine that any karaoke session he engages in is going to contain something a little more exciting than a boozy, warbled version of "I Will Always Love You." That's what TruTV is banking on with "Killer Karaoke," a new series that it announced Monday. The show, which is based on the international series "Sing if You Can," will be hosted by the "Jackass" and "Wildboyz" daredevil and feature contestants »

truTV has picked up a new reality series named Killer Karaoke, set to be hosted by Jackass alum Steve-o. The show, described as "the Wipeout of singing competitions", is set to premiere in early 2012 and will feature contestants trying to sing a song while going through physical challenges. Killer Karaoke is based on Sing If You Can, an ITV1 game show that debuted last spring.
Killer Karaoke won't be the first singing show to throw in a distinct twist, as NBC's The Voice showcased blind auditions in its initial season and Fox's The X Factor does away with age limits and embraces groups as well as solo artists. I have a feeling that the show will be less like the traditional model for a singing competition and more like The CW's currently-in-development Extreme Musical Chairs in combining musicality with physical elements. (Think Say What Karaoke? meets Dog Eat Dog, if you will. »

Steve-o has credited his Jackass co-stars with saving his life by forcing him to seek treatment after years of drug and alcohol abuse. The stuntman explained that he made the decision to enter rehab only after Johnny Knoxville organised an intervention in 2008. "Knoxville came over to my apartment with the director of Jackass [Jeff Tremaine], the director of photography, the executive producer [and] the sound guy. It was like the whole crew of Jackass came over to stop me from hurting myself after helping me hurt myself for ten years, which is pretty amazing," he quipped to Dr Drew. Steve-o admitted that he initially resisted their requests that he accept medical help, but eventually realised that his life had spiraled out of control. The Wildboyz star explained: (more) »

The first cut of Terrence Malick’s existential war film The Thin Red Line supposedly had a running time of five hours. To cut it down to a more “manageable” three hours, he had to chop out a huge swath of film — including practically the entire performance of nominal lead Adrien Brody. So don’t think of Jackass 3.5 as a shameless recycling of deleted scenes. Think of it as Jackass 3: The Adrien Brody Edition. “When we made Jackass 3D, we shot too much,” explains Dave England in the new preview clip. Wee-Man adds, “Now we have all this extra great footage, »
