A must see for all fans of the Matrix, who have a sense of humor, 17 March 2004

I found this randomly on iFilms once and was blown away. It was filmed in many of the same locations as "The Matrix," in Sydney, Australia. For being a fan/parody film, it is produced very well (and the director, already having worked on many projects, seems destined for great things).

Although at times the movie seems to move slowly, I found myself laughing out loud for almost the entire time. The actors gave rather good stereotypical (necessary for the humor) performances for their respective characters. Neo's actor, Michael Falzon (Ned, HMS Pinafore), was superb. He blended enough Neo and stereotypical "Keanu" behaviour to give the movie some of its best moments.

My favorite, however, was the writer/director (Abe Forsythe -- Marking Time, Ned) and his portrayal of Agent Smith. He nailed Smith's straight faced style, as well as his mockery. The best, however, was his injected childlike humor, including his penchant for indulging McDonald's. In fact, I now have the problem of associating this version of Smith more than the actual version (and Hugo Weaving is one of my favorites, along with the character of Agent Smith in The Matrix trilogy).

The music is also excellent, and I often find myself humming the theme song. Also clever was the use of the bird footage for whenever necessary CGI sequences had to be left out due to various issues. Of course we know it is because they are too costly and take too much time, and it makes for some memorable lines.

A must see for all Matrix fans who have a sense of humor. You can tell this isn't a mockery, its parody from people who really enjoyed it. I can't go into many more reasons why I loved it, because I'd give away spoilers. You need to see it for yourself! Although I will part with one of the funniest plays on the original script... Instead of "I know Kung Fu," ... "I know Origami!"
