Trivia:
While in post-production, working with a team of two CGI animators, the director realized there was not going to be enough time to complete all the CGI work in the given time frame of three months. Unable to find a third animator, he decided to learn the 3D software "MAYA 4.5" and joined the team himself. Post production was completed on time. moreGoofs:

If you love indie films of extraordinary nature, then you will love `SPANK'. In this techno-future with a twist, a common domestic psycho-drama is not all that it seams. Weather counseling session or virtual reality masochism, an enterprising therapist/technician makes an unexpected change in the program.
The film opens with the hit song "Breathe" (Telepopmusik) and the audience is treated to a slow intro of simple white credits on black, then, just as the song hits it's trademark beat, we are immediately thrown into a virtual world mixed with CGI futuristic fx, virtual images with a compelling story of love, lies and human forgiveness....
The film, which was written, directed and starring Christian Blaze, `SPANK' marks his directorial debut into filmmaking. Born in El Salvador, CA in 1979, he moved to Vancouver, BC Canada when he was 18, and began studying acting at the now infamous Gastown Actors Studio under private acting coach Mel Tuck. In 2001, he got his first leading role in `Never', a debut music video for upcoming R&B artist Amanda Perez. Soon after he began working on several small productions before he started filming `SPANK' in the spring of 2003. "SPANK" also features an original score by German film composer Wolfgang Mittendorfer, additional music by New Zealand native Matt Joe Gow, some amazing 3d CGI fx by Insite New Media's visual FX team, and C. Kim Miles as the director of photography. The fully Canadian cast is lead by actress Leslie Hopps (The L Word, John Doe, First Wave), who portrays the role of ASHLIN, the unfaithful wife who confesses to her husband of her affairs with another man. The film made its public premiere screening on Aug 17th 2003, in Vancouver, BC, and made its festival premiere at the 2003 Santa Fe Film Festival, NM, USA on December 4th, 2003.
