Back in 2013, filmmaker Don Mancini returned to his beloved Child's Play franchise to write and direct the sequel, Curse of Chucky, the franchise's first installment since 2004's Seed of Chucky. It seems that we'll be getting yet another dose of Chucky in the near future with Chucky 7, which is bringing back Curse of Chucky stars Jennifer Tilly and Fiona Dourif, the daughter of Brad Dourif, who voices Chucky. Unfortunately, not much is known about the story. Although the director did tease that they may film in South Africa.
Just over a year ago, Don Mancini teased on Twitter that he was writing the script for Chucky 7, but the filmmaker never revealed any further updates until this week. Don Mancini's first tweets included Jennifer Tilly's Twitter handle, but earlier today, Fiona Dourif sent out a tweet about packing for South Africa. It was announced last year that Don Mancini, creator of Child’s Play and the Chucky character, will be returning to the franchise again for the as-yet-to-be-titled Chucky 7. Now the director has been publicly discussing the project with Jennifer Tilly, who will set to reprise her role of Tiffany.
