COLOGNE -- Uli Edel's epic two-part miniseries The Ring of the Nibelungs slew all competitors in its Monday night bow on German commercial network Sat.1, drawing a monstrous 7.98 million viewers for a 30.2% market share, according to German ratings group GfK Tuesday. The mini, produced by Munich-based Tandem Communications and VIP Mediafonds and starring Kristanna Loken and German actor Benno Fuermann, is based on the German and Nordic legends of the dragon-slayer Siegfried (Fuermann) and his warrior queen Brunhild (Loken). »
