I love this video hosted by Gary Owens and Eric Boardman. It features these guys going to places around the world and talking about prehistoric mammals. We learn about sabre- toothed cats, dire wolves, tiny horses and lots else. There are also a bunch of weird guys who show up along the way, including a guy who claims to be Raymond J. Johnson, Jr. (you can call me Ray, or you can call me Jay...), and a guy who horrifies a young boy with his graphic description of animals getting stuck in the La Brea tar pits. But my favorite part is at the end when Dougal Dixon, author of the book After Man: A Zoology of the Future, shows us what he thinks animals may look like 50 million years in the future, like wolf-like predator rats, deer-shaped bunnies, and terrifying 5-foot-tall flightless bats!
