Storyline

Group of shocking Music-videos linked by interviews with band members of this Death Metal band with Guest appearances by a beloved TV Horror Hosts. Film works as a feature length introduction to the Underground world that influences this particular music movement and showcases moments of intense performance by the band. The videos reflect the genius of Indie Wunderkind, Jim Van Bebber whose long awaited feature CHARLIES FAMILY (AKA: THE MANSON FAMILY) is finally seeing the light of day in British theaters, soon to follow in the USA. Van Bebber's characteristic frenetic cuts, neo-primitive animation and deconstructive look at Pop Culture make this worth watching even if the music ain't your thing. Written by LMFP

Very disturbing
18 April 2005 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This has to be the most disturbing collection of music videos ever. All the videos were directed by Jim Van Bebber of "Deadbeat By Dawn" fame. The videos have to be disturbing though because the music is terrible. It doesn't hold a candle to quality death metal like Cannibal Corpse or Mortician. But the visuals more then make up.We see a dead woman skinned and then masturbated on by the drummer, guitarist Phil Anselmo get his hand eaten by a zombie,a gorgeous nun given acid and then molested by a cult,a psycho decapitate a man while his naked girlfriend watches, and finally a song about the Lucio Fulci classic The Beyond with scenes from the film inserted in the video. This final video is also a special feature on Anchor Bay's DVD of the Beyond and the least offensive video in the collection. The makeup effects are gruesomely realistic, especially in the first video where the dead woman is skinned. You also get to hear the band members drunkenly ramble about how they think Amityville 2 is better then the first(which I totally agree with) and how Russ Tamblyn isn't a very good actor. So the music sucks but the videos are awesome, just be prepared to be disturbed.
