The holidays have descended upon us again, and you know what? I got the bug. I’m feeling generous. This is the official season of giving and I’m gonna give! Unfortunately, you’re not getting something awesome. This is more like getting chlamydia. But, at least I’m warning you?

Considering how every group of female friends is composed of a blonde, a brunette and a redhead, this one is perfect for the ladies. These witches come from a little Disney film called Hocus Pocus. A 1993 film that focuses on Max, a high school student and a virgin, who lights the legendary Black Flame Candle in a fabled ritual thus, bringing the Sanderson Sisters back to life for one night on Halloween. »

The 10th annual Lausanne Underground Film Festival is a truly epic film event with an immense lineup of the strangest, sexiest, most grotesque, oddball and downright freakish movies from all over the world — from modern underground treats to classic cult movies of yesteryear.
The fest officially begins on Oct. 15 with a special live performance by the legendary Diamanda Galas. But the film festivities run from Oct. 17-23, starting with the grand opening of an exhibition and retrospective of the films by Ericka Beckman.
The full film lineup, which is presented below, is a massive mix of underground greatness, but here are some of the highlights:

There are spoilers ahead for some of the films we talk about!
As several decades of cinema have informed us, evil takes many forms. Aside from all the serial killers and ancient demons waiting to either leap out of the shadows and murder us or simply scare us into a weeping ruin, movies are also full of killer cars, malevolent dolls and rampaging animals to contend with.
Given that entire lists could be generated from those menaces outlined above, we’ll be dealing with more obscure manifestations of evil here. The sort of demonic objects you might win on The Generation Game if it were presented by the Devil, or the kind of unlikely scenarios you'd encounter if you were the star of a horror film directed by Benny Hill. »
