Cute movie but.......

I enjoyed the movie. It was very cute. I have one complaint though. Being from Colorado, I felt that Denver got shafted! None of the sights they showed were of Colorado! The inside shots of the Hockey rink and the Airport ("Denver Airport") were illegitimate. If you are going to do a movie about Denver and show parts of it...then at least send a second unit to take scenic shots of Downtown (LoDo as we call it) Denver so it looks like it was filmed there! Even the Hockey sweaters the fans were wearing were fake! They had iron on numbers instead of sewn on cloth numbers like legit sweaters have. Oy! I hope no one decided not to come to Colorado from this movie! Our airport (DIA) and our Hockey arena (Pepsi Center) are much, much nicer than what was portrayed! And our downtown is a lot nicer than what they shot as well! Shame on the production team!

charming

As romantic comedies go, this was a cute and winning one. I thought that the writing could have been stronger to build up the final connection a bit better, but that is not a huge tripping point. But, Amanda Detmer and Scott Wolf give nice performances and are as charming as ever. These are two of my favorite actors, and I was just glad to see them cast as romantic leads. I hope to see them cast in more projects soon.

Overall, this movie won't change your life, but is is sweet, warm and winning. Not a bad thing to be at all.

Old story in a new dress.

I´m glad that someone has made a movie about how hard it is to risk your heart for a second time. Or third. This movie is exactly what it promises to be - lovely, amusing and it gives you this good feeling around your heart when it ends. The plot might be not very inventive, but there are millions of ways to tell the story and they have not been all used yet. The cast is perfectly selected although Scott Wolf does not look like a father of an eight year old not even when he is wearing a suit. So, the sparks are on all the right places, supporting cast is lovably supporting and although you could probably predict the whole movie you would not want to switch the channel. It is just the right sort of entertainment for a Sunday evening.

The cutest romantic comedy film ever made for Television!
Lovekitten30 October 2004
The movie is about a divorced dad who only gets to have his kid for holidays, and a divorcée mom who always have to send her daughter to her dad at holidays. they meet at the airport, but the love story doesn't begin until a year and a half later. It shows a realistic POV on divorced parents, with a fantastic romance in between. Scott Wolf is adorable even if he doesn't really look like a father. and the woman is gorgeous. everything that can go wrong in this story - goes wrong. it doesn't matter if the end is predictable because you have so much fun watching them fall in love. I give it a 5 out of 5, keeping in mind of course thats its a TV flick.

It's a good romantic free-for-TV movie

It's a cute little romantic movie.

The acting's good. The storie's good. It's not going to win an Oscar or anything, but is something nice to watch when nothing else is on. I recommend this movie.

Possible Spoiler, but I think you get more in a movie trailer

Warning: Spoilers
Good acting, bad script. There were entirely to many impossible coincidences in this movie. Imagine accidentally meeting someone in an airport 4 or 5 times. Also, as it is a romantic comedy, you have the usual aspect of things keeping apart this man and woman who should be together. It's just that the "things" that keep them apart are unrealistic. The basic idea for this movie was good, but I don't think much thought went into writing the screenplay. Even so, I still fell in love with Jane (played by Amanda Detmer).

Scott Wolf plays Will, in one scene on a blind double date, while Will's friend and Jane's sister are dancing, Will and Jane (who obviously like each other) are discussing how hard it was to ask that first person you liked to dance. Will never asks Jane to dance, although he obviously wanted to. I actually said out loud "Oh come on! How big an opening does this guy need?"

Pretty standard issue, I'm afraid.

*Potential spoilage.* Don't get me wrong! It was suitably light-hearted. But, equally predictable, and less-than-riveting. I mean; when is the last time you heard of a romantic comedy where the guy DIDN'T get the girl? Two-point-five stars, from me.
