Did You Know?

In the scene at The Whisky, the gig is seen as becoming a full on riot without The Germs even playing a song, when in actuality, The Germs did indeed play a full set that night, as evidenced in the "Caught In My Eye" home video. The date of the show in the movie was also incorrect, being labeled as having taken place on December 23, 1979. In truth, the show took place a day earlier, as presented on a flyer of the event. While The Germs play their show at the Orpuim, Darby Crash throws powdered sugar at The Damned for their harsh remarks. In the scene before Darby grabs the sugar you can clearly see that the lead singer of The Damned is already covered in powdered sugar. See more »

Darby Crash: I love those who do not know how to live, except in perishing, for they are those that go beyond. I love the great despiser's, because they are the great adorers. They are arrows longing for the other shore. I love those who do not seek beyond the stars for a reason to parish and be sacrifice; but who sacrifice themselves to earth in order that earth may some day become... supermans. Tell me, my brothorin, if the goal be lacking to humanity is not humanity itself lacking; it is time for man to ...

If you knew or liked the Germs, who couldn't want to see this?
20 January 2010 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The director probably should have got the lead actor (Shane) really, really, really drunk +, for the concert footage, it would have added more validity.

When the (GI) album was released it came with a lyric sheet. The lyrics were, well, very articulate for most of us back then. But one never could find them playing anywhere.

This movie covers the rise and fall of the band called the GERMS. You know that, you've heard of them, you're going to see this movie because of it, and then the last Starwood show, which was a great show; ah warm Kalifornia Decembers..., not sure why the movie portrayed Oki-dog being empty after the show, at least 3am and there was still a large crowd.

If you liked the Germs of course you have to see this. Gnarly!
