Horror violence, violent, especially during the climax. Some sequences (climax in-particular) contain particularly gruesome and gory moments.

Woman is ripped apart by barbed wire and blood splatters everywhere. Several other people die in the same gruesome manner during this scene.

A young woman is picked up by a demonic humanoid wearing a metal helmet, he rips her dress and pulls it off, then grabs her skin, pulls that off too and throws it against a door, splattering blood on two women.

Several masked men beat up a policewoman with a metal pipe. Some blood is shown.

A man is stabbed in the throat. Some blood is shown.

We see a body hanging from it's feet with what appears to be parts of flesh missing, and it is covered in dried blood.

Two women are approached by a human-like form. Upon being shot, black blood spurts from it which is acidic and burns objects.

A woman is stabbed in the chest (we see a bloody gash), she falls to the floor and abnormally large amounts of blood gush from the wound.

A woman is shown bleeding from her sightless eyes.

5 F-words, 4 scatological terms,

A man drinks alcohol.

Silent Hill is a very creepy and unsettling film with scenes of sadistic violence. However, it is obviously unrealistic and might be hard to take seriously.

Rated R for strong horror violence and gore, disturbing images, and some language
