While guerrilla shooting Ricky's flashback scene featuring his brother, on Ilford High Street, a suspicious councillor thought the cast were real card sharps and so phoned the police. The police let the crew off however and kindly allowed them to finish the scene when Grewal told them he was shooting his "student thesis film".See more »

Superb! A thoroughly entertaining movie, already establishing a cult following, set in the East End of London. It is apparent that the director is an avid fan of the genre he portrays in this movie. Additionally, the characters in this movie have an aura of realism about them, and watch out for some brilliant, yet comic, cameos. A must see movie by all accounts, and one for which the director deserves much credit.
