Trivia

There is a fight scene where Todd Stone movie-punches Jake Barrymore and makes the punching sound effect with his mouth, not knowing that the sound effects are made in the editing process. During the actual fight scene between Sam's friend, Jake, Larry, and Martin, the sound effects of the blows are delayed about 7 seconds, a play on Todd's confusion about the sound effects. User Reviews

Possible cult movie. I've seen it 15 times and love it - always seeing something new.

This movie is really well written. The story is so timely; how we all want to learn a complicated craft in record time. Just add water and POOF! The dialogue is natural and clever and moves very well. The actors are also great - they do the writing justice and vice versa. It is funny, well-acted and well directed. I love the Montreal scenery - something different from what we're seeing lately. It has everything in it but is perfectly imperfect. It does not manipulate or confound but rather completely entertains. I love this film. The music is great and works so well keeping the story moving along swiftly. I have seen this film at least a dozen times and I do not grow tired of it. It is not remotely boring; the acting is clean. It is sexy but not overpowering. The cast is great, varied and creative, something for everyone. You must SEE THIS MOVIE.
