First sequel to be written, directed, and produced by Robert Hiltzik, who wrote, directed, and produced the original Sleepaway Camp (1983). Besides being credited for certain character creations, Hiltzik had no involvement with neither Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers (1988) nor Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland (1989).
