A full relationship in 12 minutes
29 July 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This short embodies the ups, downs, and quarks of a relationship in the analogous form of an airplane flight. The relationship is on speed, so the characters make the moves, fast. I caught it on a premium movie channel as a filler between features. It is short and entertaining. If you get the chance, check it out - it's funny, and chances are you will be able to relate to it in one way or another, be it from the relationship that forms to the experience of traveling on an airplane.

For anyone that liked Aisha Tyler in "24" you will see a different and much more pleasant version of her in this flick. The rest of the actors and actresses in "One Flight Stand" are, to the best of my knowledge, unknowns, yet perhaps this is what makes this short more entertaining - you are not distracted by the popularity of the performers.

I tended to notice the errors in the travel experience. For one, sitting in an unassigned business or first-class seat is near impossible, let alone even standing in a different fare class other than the one purchased. Headphones used for entertainment systems are no longer those funky stethoscope-looking ones but the standard over-the-head earphones that are distributed today. Minor details like these will become all-too-apparent to an aviation buff, although to the casual observer, such details will not be noticed.
