The character of Craig Filmore, played by Drake Simpson, is said to have made a film called "Jennifer Is Dead", which is actually the first script written by Sahag Gureghian, which was made into a short in 2002, also starring Patricia Tallman, Erinn Koch, and Elizabeth Perry (Jennifer Is Dead (2002)).

The writer was unsure of how to end the script and tried numerous different endings, none of which worked very well. The first one ended with Billy overdosing on drugs in Julia's bathroom and her finding the body. This left most of the other stories without a resolution, including the one about Bunny's blackmail.

The second, darker and more open-ended final scene, had Bunny coming back to claim the money from Alisa. It ended by implying that Alisa was inviting Bunny inside to kill her, and this also left most of the other stories unresolved.

Another ending was way too sugary for the rest of the film, having Alisa, Julia, and Judith deciding to talk over their problems with a carton of ice cream, ending things on a way too perfect note considering the dark tone of the rest of the film.
