VIP Square (DVD), 14 November 2010

This title is actually the final song of the show and it recalls with emotion the fate of this first promotion at the time of my watching. 2001-2010, it's nearly ten years and all students except Jenifer and have disappeared from the starlight.

But today, I am truly surprised that for a few songs here i really got goose, proof that they have touched me deeply in that year of 2001! They remain for me the only band of buddies coming from this show, all the more easily that the next promotions were arrogant, spoiled sophisticated students with no more touch with the actual young generation in France.

To come back at their arrival in 2001, it was then a difficult time for me: family loss, job loss, 9/11. But, i kept smile: Michael Youn and his "Morning live" was my breakfast and "Star academy' was my dinner.

It was fascinating to get news every day, even on Sunday, of this young ordinary people united with a common passion. In addition, Nikos was a perfect host and the country castle was the perfect setting.

On this show done after the finals, you can see that the students haven't all the same handful of talent (and that Jeni is above the lot) but it was their fragility, their no-perfectness that makes them interesting. "La musique", "Paroles", "Bardot", "J'envoie valser", "Les yeux noirs" and surely "VIP Square" gave me more emotions that any other famous bands! Not bad for beginners and fast stars !

Thanks to all of you and you really belong to VIP square now !
