Goofs

When the slipstream device is used on the aircraft, as we see the bullet leaving Sarah's chest, there are a few papers flying through the air behind the bullet. The papers fly by the screen while the bullet is still going backwards towards the gun it was fired from. This would indicate that the papers were flying faster than the bullet, which, given the physics of the scene, is next to impossible. See more »

Quotes

[first lines]
Stuart Conway: Life happens in four dimensions. Subtract time from the equation, and all you're left with is space. No motion, no change. Take away time and you change everything we know, everything we believe, everything we understand. Imagine a stopped clock. There would be no rush hour, no more rushing to get there, because you'd never be late. There would be no birth, death. No more broken hearts. Summer vacations would never end. You could never lose a job, your wife could never leave you. ...

One heck of a bad film
15 May 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This could have been a good film. The whole paradox thing of time travel's always interesting, and so often it's possible to get a bit more mileage out of an idea, and if this had been written properly it could have done that. But what we have is a very badly written, abysmally acted and terribly directed film.

The camera tricks, for starters, are just so overdone it's silly. This director's never heard the expression "less is more", obviously. Silly, silly camera angles and corny slow motion.

Then there's Vinnie Jones, who just comes across as an ignorant buffoon, not because the character is one, but because his acting skills are less than non existent. Then there's the bad accents. Where are some of them supposed to be from? The plot itself is utterly, utterly ridiculous. Accepting the actual plot of time travel, the central plot, and what the characters do, is impossible. The characterisations themselves are just absurd, too. One minute Jones is a psychopath, murdering in cold blood with no remorse, then next he's almost some jovial hero. But it's all done with a shocking lack of consistency, wit, and intelligence.

A truly bad film. Use your two hours more constructively: have a nice nap.
