Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Bond is seen nude in a torture scene, although nothing is shown.

He is also seen bare-chested in many scenes, a couple of them in sexual context although no graphic sex is shown. Some women are shown with cleavage.

There are some sensual situations where Bond looks at rather attractive women.

vesper is being raped in another room when james bond's gentials are being whipped moaning and screaming is heard nothing is shown though

Violence & Gore

The opening sequence shows Bond violently beating a man, and then drowning him in a bathroom sink. The film contains sequences of action violence throughout. The violence is very realistic, and a lot of the violent scenes are very slow and have the potential to be disturbing. There are a few facial scratches on characters who have been beaten, with very little to no blood.

A scene of torture, where Bond is sadistically beaten with a knotted rope. It is very heavily implied that the target is his genitals, and we hear very disturbing shouts of pain.

The implied torture death of a character, to which another character responds by turning away as if about to be sick.

Character is blown up by his own device off-screen. Camera lingers on him right until the final moment.

Character has his neck broken but without an obvious sound effect to lessen the impact.

Character is thrown down a stairwell and lands in a heap at the bottom.

Character is choked to death by another, camera lingers on him as he dies slowly.

Character is shot in the head off-screen. We see his body fall to the ground in front of us with a clear bullet hole in his forehead.

Other characters are shot but with no blood.

Character drowns in a sinking building. Camera lingers on them as they die slowly.

Character is shot in the eye with a nail-gun, graphic details are covered by the fact he's wearing dark sunglasses.

Another character is shot in the back repeatedly by a nail-gun.

Character is shocked by a Taser.

Bond spends most of the action sequences bloodied and bruised.

Profanity

1 scatological term, 2 anatomical terms, 14 mild obscenities, name-calling (cold-hearted, slimy, idiot), 3 religious exclamations.

There is little if any visible smoking in the movie, and no use of recreational drugs.

Using a standardized scoring system, this film received a smoking rating of 0 Butts (on a scale of 0-4 Butts). For more information on the impact of onscreen smoking and the initiation of youth tobacco use, or for more information on the rating system, visit www.smokescreeners.org.

Characters do a fair amount of drinking, mostly at the casino and in restaurants, though Bond does drink to cope with stress. In the context of the film, the use of such substances is unlikely to offend.

A lot of the violent scenes have the potential to be disturbing, and the build-up is often very tense.

An injured and bloodied Bond is stripped naked and tied to a chair, and his genitals (not visible on screen) are beaten repeatedly with a length of rope. Then afterward is threatened with a knife to be fed what he seems not to value.

As well, terrorists hold out a woman's arm and threaten to cut it off with a machete, though this scene is very brief, and the threat seems more intended to frighten another character than made in earnest.
