This show brings back the blissfully ignorant days of my youth, when children's TV had some class and wasn't all CGI Boobah drivel. The basic story being of a family who wake up one morning to find that a family of pirates has weighed anchor in the middle of the night next door to them. The writing was hilarious, great fun for all ages, and the acting from Liz Smith as the crazy grandma is classic kids TV! Sadly it appears to have been lost in the sands of time with other such CBBC classics as 'Out of Tune' and 'The Wild House' but it's time it joined the ranks of Maid Marrian and got itself a DVD! So spread the word and fingers crossed in a few years we might get our wish!
