The series opens as a new relationship develops between him and Leah, the young and self-assured woman who is to become his second wife. Shimon has three children. Trivia

Due to budgetary issues, the filming of the second season was greatly delayed after nearly being cancelled, and then broadcast on a different channel than the first season. To accommodate the change, the new network showed a 90-minute movie that summed up the events of the first season, so viewers would be able to start watching the show from the second season.
