Storyline

In this high-tech "Sonic" plat-former, the evil genius, Robotnik, has discovered that the mysterious native birds of Flickies' Island, called "flickies" have a power that lets them travel to different dimensions through large gold rings. Robotnik decides that they could be useful for finding the seven "Chaos emeralds", which are very powerful. Robotnik transforms the flickies into robots, which Sonic must destroy in order to save his friends. Written by Maxwell Medley

Highly underrated

If Nintendo 64 hadn't come out this same year, I'm sure the ratings on this game would be through the roof! It's awesome! It's not really 3D, but it gives the impression of it with a bird's eye view and not a sidescrolling view. The object really isn't given, but I think it is to rescue all of the Flickies(little birds) on the island you are on.
